What do you mean by "positional"?? What is your time frame ?? 1 month, 2 years ?? I suppose your stoploss would vary according to that, wouldn't it ?

Recording your trades in an excel in an orderly manner ?? I don't do positional so wouldn't be a good guide on that, but it does sound straightforward. If you can show how you are storing it presently, maybe the others can suggest improvements.

For me or for the sake of this thread POSITIONAL = Not intraday !
Anything that is carried overnight is Positional for me. Here I am trying to follow some Metastock Expert generated Buy Sell signals on EOD charts and at times alternate Signals may come on consecutive days !

Just keeping it in a Word Doc. hence my request for a simple Excel file. I have tried to create an Excel and shall post the same this weekend.

KTJ, Have entered SBI at 1666.15 and Coal India at 291.10 Other trades not triggered. Any Intraday SL? Because closing SL are very vague and not mentally easy to apply. Any suggestions?

Kabir, uploading on an external site is a fine option. Another, better option, is, if you have a gmail account, upload your file on google docs (now google drive).

But I'm sure that there are a lot of free portfolio management/ portfolio tracker softwares/websites which will serve your purpose. Can any member guide him about it ?? I know that money.rediff.com has a portfolio tracker utility. Maybe moneycontrol.com too.
