Adjusting collar !!

I would like to do some income producing collar option, and looking for answer of a few basic questions, from veteran members of traderji.

Can collar strategy be carried out with futures instead of stock? i,e. instead of long stock can it be long future, if the answer is yes, what are the implications?

Generally buying a put option to protect a covered call is called putting on a collar. Useful if long term options are available, not advisable for Indian markets IMO.
Yes can be done with futures.

Thanks, Capricorn for your response. Another question : Can reverse calendar spread/short horizontal calendar call spread be profitably applied?
