Brokerage Issues

Some background

I had been trading for the better part of 1 year and this 1 year had been nevertheless testing. As we all know, the challenges of trading competence. But that is not the crux of the matter. I believe, I finally have to move in with a better service provider [read as broker], because of the usual push-pulls involved in this business.

For me, one of the greatest irking is the brokerage charges, reliability and the decision to go for commodities as well.

My present broker is MOTILAL OSWAL. I know you all are literally hurling abuses on me right now, but cant help. Brokerage for 0.4% for derivatives for me.

The Question

I want to ask, those who are knowledgeable, especially SavanteGarde [as was evident in one of the most brilliant posts on brokerage issues in the recent months] here

Hence, I would like to know, if given the recent run up in the equities, can we still negotiate with brokers for reduced brokerage. I want to preferably have anything less that 2 paise. My trading profile is mostly[>99%] futures based, a bit [~0.5%] options based and [->0%] cash based.
Hence you can say I have volumes.

I follow three systems: one is in hourly[NF], one is in swing basis[NF]{Saint's 60min system}, and the other positional trend following in SSFs

I would like to have some guidances from people around here. Additionally, I would like to ask about a good broker for opening commodities account.
