I have a very pecular question, but I do hope seniors would enlighten me regarding this.
1. I am having demat account with ICICIDirect.com. My question is what happens if suddenly the broker goes bankrupt.
2. As all of you must be aware whenever a company goes bankrupt, the dont necessarily inform the public initially, it is at the last stage that the public comes to know but buy then it is too late.
3. What happens to our stock?
4. As it is we have signed some forms which entitles the bank to buy/sell on our behalf.
5. Are such stocks insured by the ICICIDirect.com
6. Are the investors insured against such bankruptcy.
