chart patterns on 5 min TF

Hi,
can I use chart patterns on 5 min TF for short term?
Or are patterns supposed to be used only on EOD charts?

keep in this in mind ....chart patterns are 50 50 game.. every1 realise most people are looking at the same charts..

I cant talk quantitatively right now, but for every target if there is say SL which is say 20% of target, then one could afford to take a few failures.
