That's a good news and may we say bad too, because there will be more Option buyers who will contribute their share to the percentage of losers....?!?! ;)

that is great news for option traders.....especially for those who undertake spreadtrading and other strategies that involve purchase and sale of multiple options in executing a strategy who used to get killed by the brokerages.....but then again i am afraid the broking houses would adjust the percentages accordingly so that the absolute brokerage per lot would remain almost same as they are now.......

Absoloutly right , they have adjusted it. I told my broker about this circular and he said that now brokerage on option trading is varies between 1.50% to 2.50% of premium amount. so in net there is no benefit to investor/trader.
