All brokerages can open NRI a/c for you. But many people opens only resident a/c to avoid limitations. You can trade only through Portfolio Investment Scheme (PIS) of Reserve Bank of India. You won't be able to trade in Commodities, CDS etc.

Have a look in this document from NSE http://www.nseindia.com/content/members/faq_NRI_TA.pdf

Detailed procedure and limitations here : https://www.teluguinvestor.com/blog/equities/nri-trading-account/

Hello Everyone!

This is my first post. I found it quite difficult to find my way around on this forum. I could find the link to start a new thread so I decided to comment on this thread itself.

This is my first post ever on any forum. I need to get used to the ways of the forum and interacting with other traderji members.

Could anyone guide me as to what are the topics that I should look at for healthy interaction on various topics and issues pertaining to trading?
(Although I am a newbie to forums, I am not a newbie to trading. So please suggest accordingly.)

Looking forward to some guidance from the other members.

Thanks,

Regards,

Jitendra

I would like to interact on issues such as new trading methods or strategies/ new trading ideas/evolving trends in traders mindsets/ new platforms for trading or analysis/most widely used trading strategies and platforms for jobbers/etc etc.

I hope you caught my flow. If there are any more such trends, I would appreciate it if you could guide me to the same.

Thanks in advance.

Great! Thank you. Appreciate the speedy support. I was not expecting people to be up at such a late hour. Especially since tomorrow the markets are open.

Well, over here it is 09:00 PM and US market is still running, as over there it is even a bit earlier as over here compare to over there in India. :D
