FII Investment in Cash segment today was 8955 crores !!!!

How is this possible ! Is it genuine?

Or has NSE goofed up with the numbers?

Figure is inclusive of Citibank exiting HDFC holdings from their Investment portfolio.....!!!

Citibank sold HDFC shares worth $2billion - approx INR 9800 crores, so should appear in sell value.

But as per NSE, FII buy is INR 11138 crores and sell is only INR 2183 crores.

Agreed there might have been other FIIs who bought the HDFC shares, so buy value is high, but then, did Citibank sell for only 2183 crores !!!!

The nett investment by FII in Cash today is INR 8955 crores.

There is 22 Billion still to be deployed.....Give & take a few.... !!!

If Citi sells 2000 crores, somebody will buy for 2000 crores.

Now, question here is, sell value is 2000 crores approx.

But, buy is 11000 crores.

There is nothing sold for balance 9000 crores, it is all bought afresh - is it not ??

Or am I missing something?

Stake from what little I saw on the channels was bought by Private Equity... Not aware what category Citibank comes under.... since they are a Banking Institution here in India....!!!

Same day figures released by NSE & BSE is riddled with errors.... gets revised later....!!!

Yes, was trying to gather something like this

Check for todays figure after a few days to see if it is the same....!!!

Except for such stake sale as witnessed today...... otherwise on most days.... FII & DII .....figures just shows a sophisticated circular trading.....!!! :clapping:
