Zerodha - Number One Discount Broker in India

@Zerodha
What is your future roadmap for algo trading?
As you have knowingly opted out of symphony, Is your new platform will provide algo capability to retail trader?
Are you bringing some other platform specifically for algo?

If yes then give us more details with approx time frame.
Also specify how it will be better/worse than the present algo providers. :)
algo trading means automatic trading???

hi, the trading chart in your new back office is a nice way to keep a tab of the trades done on a particular day. it doesn't seem to be functional over the last couple of days. any prob?
We basically over the last few weeks had to rewrite the entire backoffice code to make it more efficient..

The new code is getting updated today.. So finally yeah, by this weekend, you will start seeing some really nice reports.. :)

wht is your take on premiums collected by writing options to be used towards margins, mtm shortfall?
We are okay with it as long as they are not deep in the money..

With deep ITM there is a risk especially if done using product type as MIS that there will be more premium than the margin blocked itself..

With the name you have mentioned, it is not really a scalable solution. It involves running the strategy on a server and people who are enabled having to access this server on a remote and then making changes. It works well if it is a RM who is running the strategy on behalf of a bunch of clients at one time, but it is not really possible to have multiple people individually access this server.

Ideally a trader should be able to make any changes that he wants to a strategy using his/her own system. What we are building will definitely have algo trading capability where everything can be done on his/her own system, something like a metatrader.. But yeah, will be able to give out info only in a while..

That said, as you all know, complete automated solutions is quite tricky as the person has to become an authorized person on the exchanges and all..

Guys,

Cover order working for : Equity, F&O, Currency F&O, and Commodity

Brackets working for: Equity, F&O and Currency F&O

For options, buying there is no leverage, for shorting there is.

Margin for calculator for CO & BO: https://zerodha.com/margin-calculator/BracketCover/

Version 3.11.1.2 available in the download section of www.zerodha.com
Should we still sent request email for cover/bracket order enabled? or just download the new version and install?

Hi Zerodha,

I see your SEBI charges are Rs.20/crore across the board, was there a hike from SEBI ? any circular in that regard?
because other popular brokers are still at Rs.10/crore.

Best Regards,
