Zerodha - Number One Discount Broker in India

there is only chart in the list when right click on any script for charting.

How to use pop up charting?

Now People or specially I am confused which trading platform should be used for an active trader?
Zerodha has a couples of trading platforms to download and trade. So confusing.

Now I am hearing Kite software!!!!!!

Some day Pi does not work another day Zerodha trader would not work.

Yesterday whole day Zerodha platform was kicking me out which I use most.

Any idea?
I have been checking NestTrader, Pi and Kite.

You may completely delete NestTrader from your computer UNLESS you want to go for NestTrader + Amibroker <-API

Pi is better and far better than when introduced. but it still have lots of issues. Most of the time it gets stuck with the splash screen. After force quitting and few attempts afterwards one just may be lucky if starts connected properly and could be used. My suspicion is some bottleneck in the internet connectivity at either zerodha or nesttrader servers (not mine in any way since connections to other sites like youtube etc shows excellent download performance).

I have also been testing Kite for the last couple of days, though not trading since my dp service is not yet ready. I strongly feel this is much better and simpler and uses far less connectivity bandwidth than using PI. Once my Dp is enabled, I hope to do do a few trades and feel the actual trading experience.

Charting is excellent and works very nice. I have not tested it fully. so do not know it has all the features that the charting utility provided by economic times like saving / remembering the lines drawn for each of the scrips etc. so far I feel it is far better than Pi.

A lot depends on the web browser too. Firefox (though very fast) does not have all the features of chrome (chrome is getting slower and elephantine with each version). I have not tested the microsoft's browsers.

Hope this helps you.

hmmm.. very sticky that all trades be initiated from exchange approved front ends. So yeah.... .
How have IB and Omnesys have managed to convince them? Is NSE way too wary of HFTs?

does anyone know what TBQ(tot buy qty) and TSQ(tot sell qty) mean. how is that no. being arrived at?
The most useless rather misleading piece of information is TBQ and TSQ.
Consider a person has purchased Reliance at 900 and put a SELL order at
1200.He knows pretty well that this will not get executed. If it is executed
then ,it like a bonus.Similarly there is nothing wrong in putting a buy order at 700
when reliance ruling price was 900.

Sum total of BUY orders is TBQ and Sum total of all SELL orders is TSQ.

So TBQ= executed buy orders + pending buy orders,

pending buy orders were actually dummy, so its useless indicator?

@Zerodha,

Placing ORDERS from chart is very innovative for YOU and for US also.

YOU: Investors are forced to use your platform.
US: It saves valuable time in filling the order.

Use it in KITE also .(It is quite useful in PI.)

Also, make it happen for all kinds of orders, including BO :)
