Why do markets go haywire on budget day?

#1
I can understand that specific budget proposals like aggregate spending and fiscal deficits affect the investments in business. But why every business hotshot and trader keep on chattering about the budget for weeks?

Someone put your ideas, so that we can discuss :clapping:

The term haywire is incorrect.
The correlation is not only with budgets but uncertainty.

Uncertainty leads to volatility.
And the rest you can read in the forum :D

Everyone keeps on talking about Budget because of huge volatility.

Since few years I am observing ITC.. it moves in range of 30-40 rs, downwards.
1 rs OTM put becomes as high as 15 rs.

Also there are so many inactive clients. They work hard throughout the year in their regular jobs and save lot of money so that they can bet and make 10 times in a matter of few hours. :D

So the contribution from them makes the budget day highly liquid.
