Govt and Broker always gain ..not matter what happens to your account.

Then it could be in following order.

1. Investor
2. Swing Trader
3. Day Trader
4. Scalper

It depends upon knowledge/experience for above 4 types...There are many exceptions but average could be like above order...

Surely brokers will win and gain more. Trader can win or lose but broker always charge money from any trader's activities. And then broker has to pay tax for gov.

I think in share Market broker will gain more than the investors and traders.Because brokers are the most important part of share market.He is the person who is responsible and active in all parts of share market.

Stock market is good for brokers, government, Exchanges to name a few. These entities piggyback, by way of brokerages & captial gains taxes, on the speculations of people hoping to make money in the market.

Therefore for these risk-averse entities to keep making money, markets need to be advertised as a place where everyone can make money to bring volume.
