Sumit,
You still did not answer my main question - what is the purpose of this info and how are u going to use it ?

Chk out "Home > F&O > Market Information > Market Today" section and Daily Volatility link on NSE site.
You will get a file with 180+ top traded securities. It does not have Beta value but it has daily and anuual % volatility info. For most of the cases, this info can be alternative to Beta. It also give info about Index.. so u can compare the volatility of securities with index.. thats what beta does..

hope this helps

Thanks Capricorn for the link.

Beta is also referred to as financial elasticity or correlated relative volatility, and can be referred to as a measure of the sensitivity of the asset's returns to market returns, its non-diversifiable risk, its systematic risk, or market risk. On an individual asset level, measuring beta can give clues to volatility and liquidity in the marketplace. In fund management, measuring beta is thought to separate a manager's skill from his or her willingness to take risk.
This is what I was referring.. If we don't have beta.. then volatility info can help to some extent.
