What are the legal formalities to sell equity research reports online?

#4
Hey @p_rawat,
  1. SEBI Registered Research Analyst.
  2. For Research Related advice - SEBI Registered Investment Advisor License.
What if someone doesn't sell reports and instead, documents his "opinions and most probable analysis " and sell the same as a booklet?

Does he still have to comply to those legal codes ?

whats the difference between a report and a booklet ?
irrespective of format/look ...you are selling the same research info ..right ?

basically I guess ... report/booklet/or other format is not the criteria... " fee/charge" is the criteria. or I guess the more correct thing is to say - when you provide your research for a "consideration" you need a registration.

I guess not ..
reports consists of facts while booklets contain opinions..

Does it still requires registrations to sell opinions?
And most importantly RECOMMENDATIONS
dont get confused and use this report/booklet/opinion etc words. Its simple you do some research and want to sell it for a consideration then you need be registered.

and why so much thinking, if you are qualified simply do for registration. whats a big deal in that. Why so much thinking and searching for alternatives or excuses.

Moereover a sebi registration will differentiate you from every tom who claims as market expert. right ?
But i wan to tell you sebi ra registration is not very eazy.
