Hi amaren

I use Linux whenever I do trading or banking transaction on the net.
I use Indiabulls PowerBulls trading terminal that is java based.
I have installed SUN JAVA (jre).

So from my experience there is no problem in using SUN JAVA on Linux terminals for Indiabulls trading.

Hope this helps

PIB is software based. Therefore you need to have power bulls trading account with Indiabulls.

Also trading thru Indiabulls is possible thru browser based interface. SUN JAVA is compatible even with the browser based interface.
Though I haven't done a single transaction thru their browser based interface.

Never trade through browser based interface if you are daytrader ...... because speed is very slow during market hours & sometimes it hangs during market hours........performance of PIB s/w is OK...

Be assured, I do not daytrade.

I am more of a position player, holding my positions for few days to weeks.
