What are all the Advantages of VPS/ Desktop
1.No worry of Internet disconnectionProblems??
2.No worry of PowerCut Problems??
3.No Worry of Daily Login (Trading Terminal ,DataFeeder, Algo Trader)

Is the Above things right or wrong

ALGO trading is a dream which will never reality, it may work for few days not forever.
VPS you can run one or two scrips only and simple algo like crossovers with 2 or 3 conditions.
thers is no algo like just set and forget
you have to monitor manually.
your 1 and 2 problem can be easily over come by multiple net source and ups.
if you want to do business you must have basic infrastructure.
you can dream like take vps and put algo there and it will be ATM machine
i know nobody like this words but this is true.
it is true that 90% traders are loosers

Yes, you are right , majority of traders would loose, unless they have a strategy that would fetch some profits (I am not talking Signal to Signal).

In ALGO, you can fix targets predefined.

This thread is for suggestions on Cheapest VPS for help of ALGO Trader. If you have any info on still more economical VPS , please share.

I think price is the least consideration for a VPS. Quality of service is 99% important. I mean:

1) does it recover seamlessly and gracefully from an internet or power outage with backups?
2) does it guard against software/hardware crashes and recover/close trades?
3) does it inform instantly what problem it is facing?
4) can it start /shut down at a pre- defined logic based time, adjusting with varying market opening hours?


VPS is at its infancy, and more so in India, where it may be considered a newbie. For ATS traders this is really bad as they may have to wait for years before it matures. There is only basic technology and no rocket science behind VPS. I wonder why a group can't be formed in TJ who will build one and get it located close to the exchanges in Mumbai. We can also explore obtaining a loan under service sector for which no securities are required.
