Trading the Technicals

Depends on who you ask, people opening wrong positions based on technical analysis will tell you that it doesn’t work and the same could be said about fundamental analysis. However, is it the theory that is wrong or the strategy with which it is applied? There is no definite answer to that question. You have to study it and apply it yourself to make a view about it.

i think the real player is fundamental factors. it is not mandatory that technical analysis should work. the indicator just gives the current position of price at any time frame... what's the point that price should react to any average values of any time frame candles..

Technical analysis can be a supplement tool for fundamental analysis but can't totally substitute it. Short-term moves are unpredictable by technical analysis, while it doesn't always work for medium-term moves, only for key levels.
