Finally NF weekly options are here.

Have taken the below position to just try out them .

NF Spot @ 10870
Expiry: 14th Feb 2019

Buy NF 10850 CE 300 Qty @ 78
Sell NF 10950 CE 600 Qty @ 31

Net debit (78-62)*300 = 4800

Have taken this position with a view that NF will trade in 10800 - 11000 range till this expiry. Will exit the position if NF breaks 11000 on upside.
Though it is too premature to ask the question, I want to know from your experience with NF (weekly optoins) Vs BNF (weekly options).Anyway I am expecting the answer after some time.

Sure, will post after few weeks. I am not expecting them to be as much volatile as BN weekly options and hence less premiums. Lets see.

Are you also trading them?
At present ,I am not trading in either.

But I have doubt..how far option writing will work in nifty weekly options. As premiums are less and even 100 points move make us to adjust the positions.

I could have posted this in any thread, but i feel this thread came to my mind first.

for a option specialist, there is something to learn
for a noobie, there is more to it than what meets the eye.

You can sell them intraday in the last three days of the weekly expiry and still can target 1 percent of your capital. But you should be adjusting them very actively as per the nifty movement.

Personally I feel BankNifty is more volatile than Nifty. But the effect is nullified by VIRTUE of lot size (BNF lot size is 20 where as NF lot size is 75). Any comments?.

Yes it makes a lot of difference particularly for option writers as even with same number of quantity it would always be easier in bnf to adjust your position because with less lot size comes freedom to adjust them in variety of different ways.

One more thing that is better in bnf is that although difference in strikes is 50 in Nifty, the liquidity in them is very low (atleast for a majority of time). So we have bnf (26k) and Nifty (11k) having practically the same strike difference of 100. That means we have more strikes to trade in bnf.
