In the last para, Jaideep mentions about coughing up the score when the end comes. Reminds me of a really nice one which is prominently displayed at the Hindon Golf Course (I forget who it's by):
"For in the end, when the Great Scorer comes,
He sees not whether you won or lost,
But only how you played the game"
That's right Col. It's the attitude finally...and in the end.
As Shailendra the great poet of the film industry wrote for Raj Kapoor's Teesri Kasam...
Tumhare mahal chaubare
Yahin rehjainge saare
Akadh kis baat ki pyaare
Yeh sir phir bhi jhukana hai...

Sajan re jhoot mat bolo
Khuda ke paas...

Hey saint...I'll try..
Your palaces and your courtyards
They shall all stay behind (when you go)
So why the arrogance then
Your head would still be forced to submission.

Something vaguely like that..it's part of a very nice song.

Thanks colonel...and you sir, seem to possess a fine taste in literature. Urdu too? That's my most favourite language for poetry.

Amit, you've got my soul strings stirring. Raaga.com is playing this song in the background as I write. One of my sentimental favourites. Hope to exchange with all some great songs (any language) that are relevant to whatever we guys are pottering around with in the markets. After all as the Bard-of-Avon said..."IF MUSIC BE THE FOOD OF LOVE, PLAY ON". And as I see it, every each one of us here is in the markets for the love of money, not for the fun of it I'm pretty sure. :)
