This chart shows why Arvind Kejriwal needs to kiss good-bye to his popularity

Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal should bid goodbye to his popularity quotient.

According to a new report by brokerage Motilal Oswal, the momentum of AAP has been on the decline ever since the party relinquished office of Delhi government in 49 days. According to a CNN-IBN-CSDS poll, the vote share of AAP in many states has declined since its January 2014 peak; in particular, the decline has been striking in Delhi, the only place where it held a near-majority share of the votes.

Based on opinion polls, Narendra Modi's popularity is far ahead of his competitors. The chart below shows that among the people surveyed by several opinion polls, Modi has consistently remained a favourite among at least half of the respondents surveyed. Rahul Gandhi meanwhile has seen a marginal increase in his popularity from 15 percent to 18 percent, while Kejriwal has seen a decline ever since he resigned as chief minister of Delhi.

"The conclusion of opinion polls confirms the consolidation of NDA moving closer to majority. Rising seat share in successive months and more parties joining pre-poll alliances with BJP further reinforces this trend. While the traditional voter base of Hindi Heartland is set for a large swing in favour of NDA, they are seen opening innings in some Southern states also.

'However, NDA would still require support of a few allies post poll and if opinion polls and early sound-bytes are any indication, many regional parties are set to enter into either post poll alliances or support from outside, leaving comfortable margin for the new government to ensure stability," said Ashish Gupta and DipankarMitla, analysts at Motilal Oswal.

well opinion polls suggested the same in 2004 . ab vajpayee far ahead of congress.

the rest we know is history
its been 10 years since then

do you even know the technology and methodology evolves every year ?

you are not living in a fixed universe /world ...................your mind is not able to identify the change as and when it happens .

thats why you get shocks in life

i think you more often get shock in markets as well

do you really mean to say that now any -one has perfected the art of prediction . does any prediction works in stock markets ,its a game of probabilities.

prediction is a very risky thing . have this been the case why all election polls got wrong in delhi in legislative assembly .

not even one of them was giving aap half the seats it actually won .!!!

so do you think the election poll wer not evolved that much 4 months ago !!!!!!!
