Hi, The common mistakes are:

1. Trading without sound knowledge.
2. They depends heavily on tips.
3. Won't research on Stock, Sector, Economy etc.
4. If market is Bullish they will get excited and buy the stock.
5. They will be greedy, expecting more and more returns.
6. Investing more money in initial stages without proper strategy.

1. Right knowledge (Learn from mistakes and you will eventually gain knowledge)
2. Dont live in denial. Accept mistakes and losses and learn from them
3. Patience
4. Sticking to the plan
5. Make affordable mistakes and avoid blunders

There is only ONE mistake newbie traders make - that is thinking they can grow super rich and double their money through intraday trading :)

Thing is FnO, particularly the options, have made the lure of intraday so intoxicating that for years to come an arrogant novice trader will keep on taking this mistake as some sort of a challenge that must be overcome. Not to mention the arrival of flat rate brokers whose offers are adding fuel to the fire.

Bad Money Management, Over trading, Counter trading, Lack of Patience and failed to control emotions.. I know these because I also done these in my newbie life.. Its not matter that you are a newbie, you should have a hunger for learning more.. hunger for increasing your performance.. as a newbie it is certain that you will make many mistakes in your trading.. ....................But the real question is Do you want to repeat those mistakes again and again on your trading..?
