Tax on Margin Plus orders

Hi,

I have lost Rs 9858 in Margin Plus order in last Fiscal year but have made a profit of Rs 23250 in stock trading in short term gains. Can someone help me how should I compute my tax. Do I have to pay the tax on 23250-9858=13392 or on 23250 ? Need urgent help on this please.
