Short selling

I sold 40 shares on margin and it gets carried. I but it on 843 and the broker told me it will be auctioned. Can anyone tell how much price it can be auctioned. Whether I will be in high loss?

If the stock falls by the time of the auction, it'll be a loss. If it has risen, it'll be a profit.
