Sharekhan - Not able to trade in BSE

Hey guys,

Just dived into this ocean of investing and I find this as fascinating. I have a Demat account on Sharekhan and when i try to buy some shares from BSE, I am getting a message that these shares are not available for trading. However I am able to buy and sell shares from NSE. Could you guys throw some light on the same? Thanks in advance.

Hi Ram,

Sharekhan told me few months back ,that to trade on BSE a Special MANDATE
is to be given.
Once you enter SHAREKHAN ,it tells you whether you can trade on BSE or NOT.

In my case it says,
you can trade on NSE
you can trade on BSE
you can watch quotes from NCDEX
you can watch quotes from MCEX

Still I can not trade on BSE.I wrote to Sharekhan regarding this, but they
have not replied so far.
