Setup Range Bars

#1
Hi Amibroker friends,

Any help is appreciated.

I'm pretty new at Ami. Wanted to view my chart as Range bars. Couldn't find any option to do this.

I can view them as candlesticks, line, bars etc. Is there any simple dropdown option where i set range and view them as range bars or does it require any coding.

Alokdaga - Thanks a lot.

I tried setting them up in normal EOD chart just for starters, set ticksize as 10, and i see the next bar appears after 10 minutes.. the 3rd bar 10 mins later.

Shouldn't the next bar appear only when price goes UP/DOWN by Rs 10 ? Isn't range bars Price based..and not time based..

Or does the ticksize apply only for Real time intraday data ?

Sorry if these are too many (stupid :)) questions.

You should use tick data for range bars not EOD bars! EOD data is time based on top of that.

hi
please note
your database settings in Amibroker ,must be in tick, not 1 minute or 1 day.
when you use tick as basis you need more of memory.

happy trading
