Hi All,

How can I find the sector of a particular stock. In BSE sector section I see that there are about 13 BSE sectorial Indices.....

I would like to know whatever stock we select from BSE it will be in the 13 BSE sectorial Indices. Have I understood properly please help...

for example, I need to know the following stock's sector.....

RALLIS
KIRIDYES
HGSL
NUMERICPW

Would like to explain in simple.....
I would like to pick a stock where its sector is strong or mimics the market for further studies...
How can I go about it........

for example:
Infosys is the stock......can view the sector's strongness in BSE IT........
But what about the lesser known stocks like.......above....

Hope I am not confusing.....

Numeric is sound with Fundamentals also.
Code:
EQ BV DIV EPS EPS-12 FV
 NUMERICP 5.1 277.6 50 78.80 55.72 10

Goto following link and download the zipped excel file.
Each sheet of this file list the constituents of various BSE indices along with their sectors (including sector indices).

http://www.bseindia.com/about/abindices/bse500.asp

In this way, u will know atleast 500 to 600 companies, of different cap size - small, mid, big and their sectors.

In my view, that should be sufficient for any trader to make money.
(and if you can't make money with this, then what is gurantee that u will make money even if u know the sector of all listed companies).

So, if u know which sector is strong, u can figure out the list of companies in that sector from above excel sheet, go and check their chart and shortlist your target companies.

Happy Trading

Appears to be good eventhough if losing ground
for last 5 days.
