Here is the overview of my execution strategies.

Strategies -

  1. Writing Bi-Weekly Bank Nifty Option Spread (Relative Value Arbitrage Positional Hold)
  2. Nifty Option Spread (Relative Value Arbitrage Intra Day)
  3. Nifty Option Writing (Directional Intra Day)
I have decided to execute short trade through long put option/short call option & long trade through long call option/short put option (depending upon our analysis on VIX) to save time i.e i trade my core family a/c also so i have to focus on that a/c as well. Anyways here is the FINAL blueprint:-
  • Account Size - INR 100000
  • Margin Account - INR 60000
  • Money Management - INR 40000 (In Liquid Debt Funds)
  • Maximum Position Size - 3 Lots or 225 Shares*
  • Risk Per Day - INR 2000 or 2% (Upon Which Trading Will Cease For Remainder Of Day)
  • Risk Per Week - INR 6000 or 6% (Upon Which Trading Will Cease For Remainder Of Week)
  • Risk Per Month - INR 12000 or 12% (Upon Which Trading Will Cease For Remainder Of Month)
  • Risk Per Quarter - INR 24000 or 24% (Upon Which Trading Will Cease For Remainder Of Quarter)
  • Max Risk - INR 36000 or 36% (Upon Which Trading Will Cease For This Strategy)

*
3Lots or 225Shares-
3 Setups i.e. 1 Lot or 75 Share Per Setup
Dynamic Probabilistic Sizing - 3 Lot or 225 Share When All Setups "Align"

I have requested for payout of INR 10000 from my trading a/c in order to make my trading a/c INR 60000 (If you recall it was INR 70000)
So INR 10000 which i will receive will be deployed in liquid funds. I have transacted INR 30000 in liquid funds today.

Here is how the i traded today -
Trade.png

Total Trades (As per System) - 7
Winning Trades - 5
Losing Trades - 2
Win Rate - 71.4%
Shares Transacted - 675 or 9 Lots (1 trade had double the size)

Here comes the part - If you observe systematically 9 Lots needed to get transacted BUT if you see the screenshot of "Net Position" total transacted shares are 2025Lots or 27Lots! This is how i am losing money by overtrading within a trade i.e. if i have a position on, instead of holding it till completion , i buy 1rs below & sell 1rs above and this cause overtrading & skewed risk reward on those "scalps" 1rs risk for 0.5 reward! I am very passionate about trading and most people suffer anxiousness in execution whereas i enjoy it BUT it results in overtrading. If i conquer it i can be among the worlds best , humbly speaking offcourse.

Any particular reason for opting the liquid funds having yearly CAGR ranging between 6.5 to 6.8, whereas other funds like ICICI PRU SAVINGS FUND have annual CAGR above 8.5.

Yes the reason is that it is alternative to bank & not meant as investment in traditional self. I mean i would rather aim for 6% and be happy when it returns 8% rather than aim for 8% returns & get depressed seeing 7% :)

You are trading too much and profits are small in comparison. At how many points you break up in options?
