Pledging through CDSL easiest - how does it work?

#1
When I logged in to my CDSL easiest account ..I saw an option for pledging and when I checked details on internet...I found that you one can pledge their shares to a trusted account. In my case my broker is trusted account.

So how does it work..I pledge to him and now he has the sole control over my shares and he can do what ever he wants?
I did not give any POA to him ...because I don't trust any of the brokers. So there is no clarity in writing.

Also, who gives funds to me against the pledge...it is the broker himself or he re-pledges to NSCCL or he re-pledges to an NBFC?

Or does this mean when we transfer to our broker(as a trusted account) it automatically goes to NSCCL?

Please don't tell me to ask my broker because he is not helpful.
