Am looking for some stocks to invest long term, which after investing, will not look to exit for a year atleast. The rational follows the well known adage : rising tides lifts all boats. The rising tide, in this case is the slow, but inevitable process of economic reforms from PM Modi. S&P has upgraded India on Friday, and I believe there will be many more announcements to come in the future. Easing of interest rates and liquidity by RBI for one could lift the entire banking sector, index and market sentiments. I see atleast 20%+ upside in the index by end 2015, and I believe that individual stock will outperform the index much more. The idea is to catch multi-baggers. The scripts that I am looking for will be in the small-mid cap segment, with a good level of liquidity, and breaking out from a range (formed over a period of months) or some important pivot levels. For this, I need to have access to a good charting tool and database showing stock movement for the last 10 years atleast. If it is a paid subscription, I do not mind. Folks, any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Has anybody used ChartAlert, its a wondeful software for Indian markets.
I have used it and experience was very pleasant, I discontinued only because they had no realtime data at that time.
Subscription charges were also very less as compared many expensive softwares.

I heard they were starting realtime datafeed also, you can check that out also at http://www.chartalert.com/

:)

Thanks Manoj, very good link.

Seems to be a very useful software, with scanning capabilities based on many parameters. The subscription cost of Rs.1,000 bucks for 4 weeks seems well worth the cost.
