OPTIONS - more volume needed!

Options trading volume has to improve in indian markets. Except for a few heavyweights and momentum stocks in midcaps options trading volume in minimal. One way to increase more retail participation is to introduce fractional lots like 0.25,0.5,0.75 etc by which the total value of futures prices can be made to min. 50,000 for a 0.25 lot. This will increase volume in FNO( esp. options side) with greater retail players getting an opp. to hedge their portfolio in cash market. We can hardly see any volumes in near and far months contracts even for stocks like RIL now!
Also another point is that STT should be charged for premium paid alone and not on the strike price. In many cases STT becomes more than brokerage now!:)
