ODIN is a trading software. You can only get this software if your broker provides it.

I am using Power Indiabulls. Do they provide ODIN? If not which bbrokers proveide it? DO you have any idea?

Checked with my friends who are using Angels PDA and they said that they didn' got such option - will update ODIN masters daily but not a complete new vesion, let me check it out with our brokers too.

I am not sure what step you had missed - but you can check the converted ODIN intraday backfill data at below locataions for corresponding TA's

Amibroker - C:\ChartsData\Data\AmiHistData.txt
Metastock - C:\ChartsData\MSData\MsHistData.asc
FCharts - C:\ChartsData\FCharts\FCHistData.txt

Pleae check this files for todays intraday data.

As per your advice, i have collected backfill data but chart is not updated with that backfill data. So, what is the procedure to get it?

Procedure to use ODIN Backfill:
1. In ODIN, right click on any script and you can see an option named "Intraday Charts" with Ctrl+I as hot key. - select this and you can view the chart starting from 9am.
2. During this time, a data file will be saved at C:\ODIN\Diet\ChartData in the format YYMMDD<<code>>N-I.dat
3. Note down the file name for the script you opened.
4. In chartsdata, click ODIN Backfill option and you can see the same filename listed (if your odin chartdata folder is different, change it at the top of the window)
5. Give corresponding script name (use the same script name as in your TA charts else a new script will be created) for the odin file you noted above and click UPDATE (during this time your TA should be in updated mode - updating charts realtime).

Hi, I read this thread and now I am looking farward to have full ver of CHARTSDATA. I have downloaded and installed chartsdata on my machine. Now can I use one script from Odin and second one from YAHOO as well, to feed metastock because I wish to get nifty future intra data from ODIN and equities from YAHOO. I tried it today but I got, at a time only one data fetching is possible either from ODIN or from YAHOO. Chartsdata worked well with FCHART and AMI but while clicking on UPDATE of METASTOCK, it gave a error and closed the application.

Hello Sir , I Am Also Not Able To Get Intraday Backfill From Odin Diet In Metastock...Although After Checking MsHistData.asc In C:/Chartsdata/MSData Its Showing Full Backfill In txt File But Its Not Plotting In Real Chart IN Metastock & Showing Empty Time Gap...I Also Checked With Ami & Same Problem...No Backfill Happening After Doing All Steps Correctly...

Dear Santosh,

Yes, you can update charts either via ODIN or YAH00 but not both as the data processing will be done from only one at a time.

Metastock should be opened before starting chartsdata else it will throw you an error on updation or quit - this is because, on updation it will search for Metastock charts to refresh and if it doesn't found one then it will throw error message or quit.

Dear Hemal,

Could you mail me your teamviewer ID & pass along with the time to trace out the issue?

You should have missed some steps at some point of time during ODIN backfill - check whether you have mentioned the script name (as in TA) adjacent to ODIN chartdata filename (<<name>>-I.txt and your TA is in updation mode during ODIN Backfill.

If using Amibroker then - Make sure that Amibroker is updating in realtime mode, open ODIN Backfill and mention script name corresponding to its ODIN filename and click UPDATE.
