NTPC has a current market cap of Rs 58,748.90 crore, next only to ONGC, market cap of Rs 1,14,794 crore, and Reliance Industries (RIL), market cap of Rs 75,264 crore. NTPC has a mega equity of Rs 8,245.46 crore.
NTPC has displaced software giant TCS to number four slot from number three slot in terms of market cap.
The power giant has also emerged as the second biggest public sector undertaking (PSU) next only to oil major ONGC in terms of market capitalisation. The PSU power major was listed on BSE and NSE today.
