My 2nd innings with stocks

We have a habit of buying falling stocks. I think this is because of the fact that from the childhood we are trained to buy things that are available at low and may be that would be the right to do but in stock markets it is not.

I took a look at this article yesterday.
http://www.businesstoday.in/moneyto...hey-give-good-returns-still/story/205535.html

And I checked if I had bought them(in equal proportion) and just hold onto them. I would have made around 70% return where as nifty only went up by 4%. The secret is just hold on to winners.

do u mean that u sold all the shares in demat a/c.?
i thought shares are supposed to kept(even if it is in profit) as it fetches dividend.

I've 4 stocks in my demat ac, holding since Jan 2015 , once ac was 25% down  , sudden recovery of some stocks have given this opportunity to close it in profit, I never thought it in this year,

Any way happy to see my capital and profit (including dividend), which is my first experience:D
