One of my friend advised me to use MAT HOLD PATTERN to decide the trend of the stock direction? I am puzzled as what it is ? So i checked it with Investopedia, to clarify my doubt, but then the confusion increased further after reading in it. Because in investopedia, it is given that one may get confused 
with the rising three's indicator
So i request the seniors to please clarify my doubt,the following things

a) What does rising three's indicator mean?
