How to quit investment in Rajiv Gandhi Equity Saving Scheme?

Dear Friends,
I opened a demat account to begin investing, I never asked them for RGESS, but by mistake I have signed in the papers they showed. After investment I came to know that my investment is locked. It is in lock in for 6 months and never claimed any tax exemption. So can I quit now by submitting Form B or I have to wait for completion of the 1 year fixed lock in period. Please help.
