How to get StockQuotes and MF NAVs...?

Hi,

I'm a recent entrant to this investment arena... and am a Java architect by profession. The technical analysis part of investing is really stirring my tech savvy brain to write some software.

I would like to know couple of things...
1. How to get quote of a stock?
Is any one providing some free service...?(intraday/eod)?
If so, how to access that service...?

I saw one
