The banks currently offer 10% interest for fixed deposits. So, how much should a normal, non-expert, retail investor aim for, when playing with less risky stocks in BSE ? Just to be clear, I do not mean simply locking in the money for one year, but by trading frequently, but without much expert knowledge about stocks.

without expert knowledge ,as a frequent trader ,you will loose all your basic capital, forget about the return.
If you have 10 lakh in your bank, just invest 10000/-in trading and then multiply the loss with 100 to know how much you would have lost if traded with your full capital and then take further decision
