How many Savings Account one should ideally have?

I think its better to have atleast 2 accounts in 2 different banks. One should be in a PSU and another one is private bank.

I also believe, on a safer side, it is better to have minimum two accounts - one with the bank whose branch & ATM is available at most of the places and one with the bank whose offers great online services.

We can say for sure that one account is not a guarantee, and this is a very big risk.

@ js19 There are no such specific rules about the number of savings accounts one should ideally have. The number of accounts depends on individuals’ needs that might range between 2 to 5 ideally. as in your case it is 2, which is fine.

Sticking with 2 is the best, but it always depends on you, so regardless. It is no issue.
