Hi Anupama,
Always nice to see someone new who come into the market with the right attitude......Just as one puts in so many years of study into being a doctor after which is a period of internship and many years of practice before he can do what he does,so too for traders. It's shocking to note that most people who enter the market take it like a casino where they hope to get that one time lucky and score big. It's an occupation like many others.....It requires a lot of education in the beginning, the education that comes from books, seminars, another experienced trader ,or from forums like Traderji .It requires then aperiod of doing the actual thing with small lots, then bigger and bigger lot sizes.

Basically there's a lot to be done before pulling out money regularly from the market. But the most important part is to take the first step, which you have done. This forum not only gives a great opportunity to study from the wisdom of others.......it basically gives you a chance peak into the trader's head!!

More important than making money now is to learn how it's done.Get inside their heads!!Ask questions.Check out the various old posts.Look out for posts from Traderji. If you are interested in learning about Derivatives Trading, look out for posts from Joy and Wastej. If you are interested in learning about Technical Trading, look out for posts from AMITBE.If you are more into trading the stocks that are less than Rs20,look out for RaviT.And if you love momentum blast trading, check out Supratik.Of course, not taking from all the others, you have all kinds of traders and investors over here and all of them have a lot of experience and wisdom to offer.

I am sorry that I 've gone on and on and on.Your line that you are here to learn the art of trading got me started.I loathe people who treat the market like a casino.I respect those who respect the market.Treat it with the respect she deserves, and she'll pay you back multiple fold. The first sign of respect to the market is that you are willing to learn.

Wishing you all the very best on your journey to Tradng Mastery!!

Hi! Anupama & welcome.

"Learning is Like Rowing Upstream; Not to Advance is to Fall Back"
- A Japanes saying.

Dito with Stock market. Take risk on money you can afford, albeit in small lots untill, you learn the trade to make money & then you'll not fall back.
