Help! Wire transfer rejected

#1
Hi Friends..

Yesterday I did the Wire transfer from ICICI Bank, Hyderabad.
It was rejected saying Forex trading is not permissible in India.

Now I'm going to write an email to the account manager @ ICICI.

Could u please help me sending the supporting documents (Like Circulars etc).

Please help me.

Regards
Naveen

Wow! I am suprised by ICICI's message offering to help..(I really hope that it is not a phishing scam-probably not since the mail id seems legit).
But in my experience, the worst bank to wire money for forex is ICICI. Their Branch Managers would flatly refuse to accept the form if you mention the reason as forex...Good luck anyways!

Hi preetksgill,

That might work if you were living in a non-metro...But yeah, an easier work around is mentioning s0001-Trading in stocks.
Not exactly honest, but the margin call RBI clause is silly anyways...

Actually, this 'care' must be shown to a customer when he's in bank with his issue. Rather, posting a consolation with hope on a forum to save the organization's reputation.
