Hi everyone,

Hakija downloads daily EOD (End Of Day) data as well as historical data (past EOD data) for NSE EQ series and also the main indices.
(NSE NIFTY, NIFTY JUNIOR, NSE MIDCAP, NSE MIDCAP 50 , VIX, NSE IT, NSE 100, NSE 500)

The data is directly downloaded from the NSE servers and can be directly imported into MetaStock as ASCII format using the MetaStock downloader.

The files are created in the same directory as the program itself.

It can be downloaded for free from:
https://github.com/downloads/sahilgupta/hakija/Hakija-v0.80b-win.zip

Source code is also available on the same site.

The indices data is named same as getbhavcopy, so you can try it without worries.
No other software (.NET framework or anything else is required)
No need to install. Just click and run.

Friend,

I have just downloaded your EOD downloader. Its great. Can you please tell me how to import this data into Ninjatrader? I am using version 7. Also do you have any source for live data for NSE?

Thanks a Lot in advance.

Hi Jovial,
Glad that you found Hakija to be useful! :)

Seems like you have a directory mismatch problem.

Try going through the following:
http://hakija.posterous.com/importing-hakija-data-into-metastock
It might be of some help. Else post back with the directory structure of your current data.
Difficult to assess much from the given info.

Hope that helps.

Regards,
Sahil
