guys metastock installation help

hey guys, i downlaoded and installed metastock. but it isnt running. no error nothing, it just eats memory and no GUI nothing. i ran the setup twice.

i think the issue is coz equise data server isnt running. so can you please tell me how to start it?
i am totally new to this part

the error is,

server has not been set up with a selected real-time data vendor,
the equis data server will terminate when this message is cleared.

how to configure it? there is no option as it just wont start

You probably get a message for choosing a Data Vendor, what different options does it give you?

If it has an option "choose my own data venor" or something with same meaning... opt for that!!

What version is your MS?

Reinstall Metastock and choose Signal (NOT ESIGNAL UNLESS YOU HAVE SUBSCRIBED TO ESIGNAL) as data vendor.

Use Metaserver to feed it in realtime, or if You use it for EoD purpose open it in offline mode.

with this method, metastock wont even start coz it is asking for that exe..

You need to have metaserver installed to open in online mode. Go to start---- Equis----metastock offlinemode
