Does anyone here trade Niftybees ? Looks like it sees a lot of action either way at 9:1am (? afterhour orders ?)

yes, for my relative.

ETFs dont trade in pre-open, so all orders are rushed at mkt open.

Best to place orders after it settles, liquidity issues are there in 1st 1min.
Even liquidbees have abnormal spikes.

yes, AMO orders are accepted, but like we transact stock / F&O in pre-open,
you cant transact in pre-open 9am to 9:08am( 1m random close )
so all orders fired after 9:15am is what i meant.

In case of say hdfcbank, i punch an order as AMO or in pre-open lets say buy 5% higher than PDC, and price discovery happens at +2%, then i will get a guaranteed fill at 9:08am before normal mkt open. ( provided enough sellers are there )
This is NSE price discovery algo.
After mkt open it is price matching algo that takes over ( highest bidder = lowest seller )

when liquidity is low, you can get lucky price fills :)
