Btw Mazagon retail subscription already close to 6x on day 1... back in our times we had the respect and sanskaar for waiting for elders (QIB, NII).. But seriously, looking at public enthusiasm, the time to do this is now... because it takes only one IPO shock to stop the whole bandwagon...

it's worrisome news , low import means there is low demand... it means production will be down in coming weeks. October is Q2 result season... lets see how things go...
The Diwali demand starts now. In Surat, the mills are sending vans/ buses to UP/Bihar/Orissa to bring back the workers. On the other hand, some workers are so desperate in their villages that they are paying upto Rs. 3500 for a confirmed rail ticket to Surat.
 
How will this affect USDINR ? More appreciation for the INR ??

In the short term anything is possible but the extent of the move will be capped by interventions of RBI in currency market... in the medium term things have to even out by a concomitant deficit in the capital account...

yes there will be demand (or at least they are hoping for demand...) if job situation doesn't improve, how people are going to spend money?

in EU countries lot of news on job losses every day. These jobs once gone are gone for long time, as they have rules on firing and rehiring. Unlike in US where you can be fired in 1 hr...
