now they need support but but while fighting the case against Indian govt in court for more than a decade they did not think otherwise.

This was known in advance. They should have planned contigency for this. No support should be given espesially now that fiscal deficit is widening.

and Voafone has been stretching that double taxation case, Rs. 11000 crore I think, since eternity :)

There is reportedly a buzz in telecom circles that Vodafone is ready to "pack up and leave any day now" as operating losses mount in the joint venture company, Vodafone-Idea.

Its bad for consumers too. There won’t be any competition left anymore. We will be back to 2000 when there use to two operator (BPL and Idea)
