So important question is how to identify the next Eicher Motors, Maruti, Asian Paints,HDFC Bank.. ??
Simple Math...if we have faith in India growth story then we can confidently buy 10 small/mid cap stocks with good fundamentals. Conservatively even if 1 stock becomes a 20 bagger in 5 years and rest all goes bankrupt still we will double our initial investment... :)

Currently market is consolidating in the range 9700-10200 which I believe is mainly due to fight between fund managers. Fund managers are under pressure with unprecedented liquidity and they will ensure market will not fall unless there is a domestic or global panic event. In the meantime there will be lot of stock rotations happening and experienced investors can easily spot opportunities. This will continue till an upward trigger in the form of more visibility in corporate earnings growth/inflow of global investments happens.

However conservative investors need to be cautious and the best option for them would be to split their risk capital into 3 or 4 parts based on their risk appetite and invest the first part now or when market is near the range support/break out . Keep rest of the capital in some good liquid funds which can give a return of 6-8%. They can then follow the market trend and invest at regular intervals.

Today BNF outperforming NF ...

People read so many books but do not feel confident of applying the principle that they have read and come out with a real time trade.
VKji, two different virtues, analysis and trading. Mastering one does not make you the master of the other. It's like comparing Harsha Bhogle to Virat Kohli. No matter how good he is in analysing the game, Harsha cannot play cricket like Virat.
