The volume traded will tell you how much is already traded and not how much is remaining. If you know roughly how much remains of the "iceberg" then it helps

Yesterday morning when I saw weakness in the counter, shorted it keeping previous day's closing price as SL. Then carried it for today. Today, kept yesterday's closing price as SL. I was expecting it to go down and complete ATR to book the profit... but SL hit.
