I prefer to stick with the first approach probably because I'm still newbie and I feel I need to dedicate a lot of time now to get better reward in the future.

That's appreciable. Learning never stops in this business and neither does practicing what you have learned.

Trading on weekends is a little different from trading on weekdays and therefore you need to be prepared here.

What do you mean? Trading on weekends is generally not available since the markets are closed. You can cryptocurrencies and binary options though but serious traders tend to avoid them. Moreover liquidity is lower on weekends so you risk to get burned by wild unpredictable moves especially on illiquid instruments.
