For a completed SIP in "Regular" mode, Is there a commission incurred for holding?

I invested in year 2005 in several mutual funds through Systematic Invest Plan (SIP) method for 5 years which ended in the year 2010, Since then I haven't invested anymore money in those mutual fund schemes (Tax saving Equity Linked Savings schemes). Recently in year 2019 to my surprise I found out the difference between a "regular" and "direct" mode, When I looked at the statements of my mutual fund schemes, to my surprise I saw few schemes are in "regular" mode.

Though I am not investing any more money in those mutual fund schemes, Which also mean that I left the money invested in the schemes as it is without redemption or withdrawn. In such a case for keeping the funds in "regular" mode am I unknowingly paying "commission" every year to a mediator? If yes, what should I do to convert them to "Direct" mode now.

Thanks in advance.
