1) depends on your computer's "computing power "(RAM ) + internet strength etc & also depends on what else you will be running along with shoonya desk top !
2) opening charts (more than 1 ) surely will crash the system . Can run whole day but you may need to close & re start 1 or 2 time .many time chart bar/prices wont update but prices will be changing in the shoonya watch list.
3) if the order is placed successfully , then it is in NSE/MCX web site in micro seconds. then it will execute as per your limit/market order instructions.
sometimes updated as "traded" takes a few extra seconds in shoonya (more so in android app). If Iam in doubt (order traded or not ) , I hit "edit" on a pending order- then it sheepishly says "your order already traded"
3) also how hungry is your other charting system is also a factor.
4) I like desktop as it gives execution sounds . but running Desk top (with out touching the chart)+ 1 browser Trading view chart+ different browser Zerodha kite volume bar chart+ with volume profile not stable continously.( My AMD Ryzen 3 -4GB RAM-1TB laptop has 1 free slot but still I have not added another 8gb stick. so my laptop is kind of weak with only4 gb ram)
Because of these issues
5) I KEEP TRADING VIEW CHARTS + manage TRADES IN FINVASIA via ANDROID APP ONLY + trades in ZERODHA ALSO VIA APP ONLY .
But after 2.45 pm close trading view charts & keep zerodha kite chart only towards closing time as too many tasks like
1)close pending un excuted MIS orders + 2)closing executed MIS orders for a profit /scratch/small loss
3)convert MIS buy's to to CNC for possible BTST 4) selectively CNC fresh buy small quantity of missed stocks during 3.15-3.29pm for BTST

Thanks for the detailed reply. I have a good laptop. I run nest amibroker with 4 5 scanners running every 5 sec. Plus datafeed and a order placement robo. So seems i will be good with shoonya deaktop. I will let u know my experience next week once my account is activated by finvasia.

Hey. Btw. Here's the problem with your laptop. Ugrade to ssd disk and u will get 100% computing power boost. I know that for 100% because i have exact same config and just replaced the 1 tb disk with a 256gb ssd disk. I have acer aspire 3 athlon dual core with 1tb disk which is replaced by ssd disk. Thumb rule: put ssd disk in any old laptop and it becomes a Ferrari. Did that twice so far.

shoonya desktop is resource hungery it struggles on even 4gb ram and core2 due processor.
i have ssd ;xD
they need to make a lite version thats less then 15 mb. it has lot of unwanted features making it 300 +mb
but finvasia dont care lol and want us to use idiotic 300 mb version that doesnt even allows us to save charts
Payout time extension is good move .. company has lot of cash haha lol

Query for Finvasia
One query that remains unanswered is
I have 1300 route mobile shares in delivery ..
i sold cnc order 1300 at 1:00 pm then buy back same at 3:25 pm CNC order

next day u get a call sir margin short hai deposit cheque of 1.2 lakhs lol
i said should i do online transfer > guy said no have to deposit cheque only
..UGGG i just say them its corono i aint going to bank let penalty be charged hehe Always and same and forever
finvasia earns a lot from me in penalty

Finvasia software is faulty they should have programmed in there terminal that do not allow to buy CNC order more then 80% once client sells from demate why allow customer to buy 100% in cnc back again ? so they has to pay penelty? LOL

Fanvasia Do you plan to open Feature called Gift your freinds share feature ? like other broker india bull and zerodha have ? lol

I know the issue. I was too lazy to go to computer center to buy another 8Gb RAM + get it fix it there itself to see whether it works .( laptop back cover has to be opened to insert the 2nd ram in 2nd slot ) .
Looks like 256 GB ssd disk (which can be inserted by myself ) is a better bang for the buck. So priority changed. 1st ssd then extra 8gb RAM .Thanks

Check the Exchange order time. If possible, post a screenshot of the whole order details.

Why we cannt save setting permanently. after u restart shoonya setting are lost even if u give name

Its showing 9.26 am received date time 9.18 am though I have put an order at nearly 8.05 am.

Badly needed fix in Shoonya Android App.
1)Automatic Trade execution notice in shoonya android app (mostly appears in left corner of the phone. You can see how it works in Zerodha android app). Shoonya dessktop exe does give sound on trade execution.But it hogs bandwidth & if we run EXE along with Trading view chart & another broker (say KITE) even in differewnt browsers , all crashes. So I find shoonya android app the best with out straining the laptop
2) when you are pushing announcements , it shows up in shoonya android app .
Why your development team can not figure out automatic trade execution notification in shoonya android app ?
